Audemars Piguet to Tap Freida Pinto Ambassador |
PARIS — Audemars Piguet will today reveal that Freida Pinto is joining its roster of brand ambassadors, WWD has learned.
The Indian actress is expected to attend a dinner at Paris Couture Week marking the launch of the Swiss luxury watch brand’s new Millenary watch collection for women. Pinto has previously attended some of the brand’s events, such as its party during Art Basel Miami Beach last December.
The “Slumdog Millionaire” actress was chosen for her film career and involvement in women’s causes such as Plan International’s “Because I am a Girl” campaign in favor of girls from developing countries. She is also a celebrity spokesmodel for L’Oréal Paris.
The list of Audemars Piguet brand ambassadors includes golfers Henrik Stenson, Victor Dubuisson, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Ian Poulter, Louis Oosthuizen, Lee Westwood and Sir Nick Faldo. Serena Williams was officially designated as a friend of the brand in December 2014.
