Redken Taps Amber Le Bon as Global Brand Muse |
MODEL MUSE: Redken has tapped Amber Le Bon as the beauty brand’s muse. The British model, DJ and daughter of Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon, is the face of the print and digital campaigns for Bronde Sombre Haircolor. In addition, she will appear in several Redken hair care, hair color and styling campaigns. During New York Fashion Week, the model will also showcase hairstyles created with Redken’s new glow dry style-enhancing blow dry oil and triple-take 32 extreme-high hold hairspray, which is slated to launch in October. Amber Le Bon will also be on the decks as a DJ for upcoming Redken events with her first scheduled on Aug. 21 at Tracey Cunningham’s salon Meche in Beverly Hills.
The campaign, which was shot in New York in February by Txema Yeste, will debut on the brand’s social media channels this month and in the September issues of American Salon and Estetica.
Le Bon told WWD that, “I love having healthy-looking hair, but I also love playing with my color, so it’s important to have a really great colorist and the best products. Redken was so fun to work with and it was really interesting to talk to everyone and see the processes and final looks. I absolutely had a great time shooting and can’t wait to work with them again.”
